Rights on Show provides a forum for people to exhibit art with a human rights focus, promoting human rights dialogue in the community.

Art can provide a vehicle for social change and expression, challenge social norms and highlight the right to freedom of expression.

You can be part of this discussion by participating in Rights on Show 2017.

Each year Rights on Show receives many varied entries from Northern Territory artists of all ages and all abilities. We invite artists to address the specific theme or any other area of human rights.

The 2017 theme is:

Sustainable Tourism: visitors and locals caring for country.

We can visit your school or community group for a creative discussion about Rights on Show – for bookings please contact info@webcloud84.au.syrahost.com or 8982 1111.

Award categories include; Rights on Show Award, Human Rights Award, Ian Tranthem Justice Award, Secondary School Award, Primary School Award, People’s Choice Award, Judges’ Commendation Awards.

All art mediums are welcome, including 2D, 3D, sculpture, multimedia and installations.

Entries due:
Artwork must be delivered to the Darwin Supreme Court:
8.30 am – 4.30 pm Friday 17 November 2017

Exhibition dates:
24 November – 14 December 2017
8.00 am – 5.00 pm Monday – Friday
Art collection: Friday 15 December 8.30 – 4.30 from Supreme Court

Opening night: 5.30 pm Thursday 23 November 2017 Darwin Supreme Court All welcome
