  • Consumer issues and complaints

What to do if you have a legal issue?

Please contact us on freecall 1800 812 953 to access free legal information or to make a telephone or face-to-face appointment with one of our community lawyers. Appointments are generally available every weekday except public holidays.

After hours clinics

Our free after hours advice sessions are held three times a week at different locations around Darwin. You can talk confidentially about your legal problem with a lawyer, who will give you advice, suggest further action, and in some cases may help you to write a letter or prepare other simple documents. Clients may attend these free clinics more than once, and there is no need to book in advance.
