The DCLS Seniors and Disability Rights Service Thin Markets Project submission is now available to view.

The Thin Markets Project outlines some of the key issues faced in the Northern Territory in relation to services for people with a disability under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

The NDIS Thin Markets Discussion paper refers to five thin market challenges including:

  • Geographic Isolation,
  • Vulnerable Clients,
  • Higher Operating Costs,
  • Workforce, and
  • Temporary supply gaps during transition.
